Well, Santa was very good to Andrew this year! He got a Nintendo DS, some games for the Wii, an Iron Man figurine, Magnext iCoaster, and an iPod shuffle. Daddy seems to enjoy playing Guitar Hero more than he does. Scott and I are going to the Sugar Bowl so that is our gift to each other. Andrew gave me a massage at my favorite spa - ooolala!
Christmas Day Kimberly and Cory stopped by on their way to Alabama. We had steak, salad, and baked potatoes. It was great to get to spend time with just us. The dogs had a little reunion. Apparently Charlie didn't enjoy seeing her puppy because she leapt over the gate on the deck and over the 5 steps down to the yard! It was so funny to watch all 4 of them play. Needless to say, my two puppies had a long winter's nap after they left.

God is Good
Tonight we went to the Christmas Eve service at church. It is always so special. This year two little boys Andrew's age got baptized. It was so sweet. The sweetest moment came when our pastor spoke about a little girl in our church who almost died in August. She had a virus that began attacking her heart. She coded several times over a period of 2 - 3 days. She suffered a stroke and they weren't sure if she would suffer from paralysis or totally regain her speech or cognitive abilities. She read the Christmas story at the service and I just teared up! She has no evident speech problems, has been dismissed from physical therapy and has impressed her cardiologist immensely. Her family has been amazing and have shared their story. Anytime I read an update I realize that miracles do indeed happen every day. So, may God richly bless each of you.

Christmas Traditions
As the time for Santa grows near, I think about the things that have become traditions in our family. We normally visit Fantasy In Lights at Callaway Gardens, play Christmas music while we decorate the house, go to our neighbor's house for appetizers one evening before Christmas and another neigbor's on Christmas Eve.
Also, we always go to the candlelight service at church. Normally, there are a few baptisms, the Lord's Supper and then we light the candles and sing. It is so spiritual. Andrew joins us because there is no nursery, it is a time for families. He has come to look forward to it as well - he wants to have a candle for the entire service!!

Saturday
I hate that Alabama lost! They played a good game for the most part. Oh well, I have never been to New Orleans! Maybe we will be able to get tickets and enjoy the bowl game.
Andrew hunted with Papa, Uncle Criag and Uncle Cory this afternoon. He told me he got to shoot his BB gun at a bird and saw a baby deer. He spent the night with a friend last night and stayed up until 11:30 PM and then woke up this morning at 4:30!! Needless to say, he is passed out in the recliner and probably will not wake up until late in the morning.
Tomorrow we are celebrating Dad's birthday with Kimberly & Cory. We are having a nice steak dinner. Mom, Andrew & I will be heading to the BJCC to see the Nutcracker - pray he doesn't disrupt the entire performance.
God bless!

Roll Tide!
Scott is beside himself about Alabama's FABULOUS season. It is about time the Tide starting winning consistently. He is going to the SEC Championship game Saturday. Andrew & I are going to Centreville. Andrew is going to hang out with Papa at the Hunting Club on Saturday. On Sunday afternoon Mom, Andrew & I are going to see the Nutcracker ballet in Birmingham. Andrew has been learning about it in music class at school and is very excited - I just hope he can tolerate the whole thing!
